In the 12th century, with the aim of disseminating the philosophical message of the Sharana community’s social and religious movement in Kalyana, His Holiness Dr. Shri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji established a cultural institution known as the Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahithya Parishat. Over the past 3 decades, this institution has been conducting activities to promote Sharana literature and culture. Recognizing the significant contributions made by philanthropists in the fields of Sharana literature and culture, awards are given as a mark of appreciation and recognition.
