Born in Muddabhira, Vijayapura district, she has served as a lecturer, principal, and professor at Karnatak University. She has authored significant works on personalities such as ‘Aaydakki Lakkamma’, ‘Muktayakka’, ‘Marula Shankaradeva’, apart from her seminal doctoral dissertation on ‘Akka Mahadevi’s Life and Literature’.
Dr. Shanta Imrapur has produced important works on women’s literary research, folk songs, proverbs, idioms, medical practices, small rituals, etc. She has presented papers in various institutions and universities and has written several biographies. Her editorial works are considerable in number.
Through her profession and research perspective, extensive efforts, and persistent endeavors, she has carved a strong reputation in the literary and research fields. She is honored to receive the ‘Ramanashree Senior Category Award’ for the year 2021 from the Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat and Ramanashree Foundation.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar Hebri is endowed with versatile talent, not confined to one or two fields but leaving an indelible mark in multiple domains. He has made his imprint in numerous fields, including poetry, children’s songs, playwriting, health, light essays, devotional hymns (vachanas), science, short stories, biographies, and epics, having authored over 400 works.
Born in Hebriyala in Dakshina Kannada district, Dr. Hebri has pursued education and attained degrees in medicine and health from Hebri, Udupi, and Manipal. He has ventured into various fields such as tabla, Yakshagana, and drama, showcasing his versatility. Presently, he has been conducting medical research in Mandya.
His literary achievements span a wide spectrum, including the epic poem “Yugavatari” based on Basavadarshan, 35 poetry collections, 9 collections of Haiku poetry, 4 children’s literature works, dance dramas, and 27 works for neo-literates, besides 34 works on health and 66 works on Sharana philosophy.

Dr. Nanda Patil is a renowned classical vocalist who skillfully renders verses from Akka’s vachanas, resonating them with the melodic richness of Indian classical music. Born in Hebri, South Kanara district, Dr. Nanda Patil has excelled in various fields, including poetry, children’s songs, scriptwriting, health, essays, and vachanas, producing over 400 works.
Having received education in Hebri, Udupi, and Manipal, Dr. Nanda Patil has actively pursued disciplines such as tabla, Yakshagana, and drama, showcasing versatility in the realm of arts. Presently, she has also been involved in conducting medical experiments at a laboratory in Mandya.
Dr. Nanda Patil’s extensive repertoire includes the renowned “Akka Kelavva” and several other popular compositions like “Ennodu Esanor” and “Salahu Koodala Sangamadeva.” Her mellifluous renditions have garnered immense popularity across Karnataka. She has organized musical gatherings in Annamalai and Mumbai, earning a notable reputation in the field of music. Additionally, she has established the Vachana Sangeet Institute.

In Pavagada taluk of Tumakuru district, the Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, established and managed by Swami Vivekananda Integrated Rural Health Centre, provides essential facilities to the impoverished. When faced with harsh times during the pandemic, Swami Japānanda Swami of the Swami Vivekananda Integrated Rural Health Centre stood by the distressed villagers in the area. They opened a cowshed and provided medical services. The institution is actively involved in the prevention and treatment of various diseases such as leprosy, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and heart diseases. Through screening and treatment camps, significant service is also provided in the field of health. Free meals are provided to those coming for treatment.

Her Ph.D. thesis titled “Yoga in Vachana Literature” delves into the intricacies of yoga in vachana literature, while her research work extends to folk studies, inscriptions, and drama. Her poetry collection “Chirantan” and the play “Shoonya Samvaada” have already been published.
In her research work, Dr. Bhagyamma has extensively studied the relationship between yoga and vachana literature, with a detailed analysis of the manifestations of physical and mental illnesses. She is known for her dedication to research and her proficient communication skills. Recognizing her contributions, she has been honored with the “Ramanashree Shara Uttejana Award” by the All India Sharana Sahitya Parishat and Ramanashree Foundation in 2021.
The Hindustani method is a well-established form of Indian classical music. Mrs. Smitha Rao Belur is renowned for her adeptness in this form of music, having honed it with maturity and sophistication.
Mrs. Smitha Rao Belur is a prominent figure in the central hubs of Indian music, having excelled in various genres such as Hindustani classical, Sufi, Thumri, and film music.
She has performed Vachanas (devotional poems) at numerous prestigious music platforms. She has also been honored with awards like the “Sangeeta Siri” and the Dr. Pandit Gavayi Kripa Lecture Awards.
With an M.A. qualification, she has served in various companies, contributing to the field of music. Her innovative approaches to singing have garnered admiration from many eminent music scholars.
Her music has been broadcasted on radio and television channels, and she holds the position of Senior Faculty at the Shankar Mahadevan Academy. She has also embarked on specialized studies in music.
Mrs. Smitha Rao Belur has been honored with the “Ramanashree Sharan Uthtejana Prashasti” in 2021 by the Akhil Bharat Sahitya Parishat and the Ramanashree Foundation.
Mr. Prakash, from Udigala in Chamarajanagar taluk, has been continuously providing yoga education through the Sri Patanjali Yoga Education Committee he founded. This organization has been actively engaged in programs related to yoga, spirituality, and meditation for the past 30 years.
The chief of the organization, Yoga Guru Mr. Prakash, has been actively involved in rural areas conducting yoga camps, advanced yoga camps, and meditation camps, offering continuous Surya Namaskar programs from sunrise to sunset. Programs such as ‘Dinakara Darshana’ and ‘Sri Rajendra Nudi Teertha’ have been published by the organization.
