Recognizing Sharana's Literary Legends

In the 12th century, with the aim of propagating the intellectual message of the sages who led the socio-religious movement in Kalyana during the 12th century, Jagadguru Poojya Dr. Shri Shivaratrimahaswamiji established a cultural institution called “Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahithya Parishat” at Suttur Sri Veera Simhasana Matha.

For the past 3 decades, the Parishat has been carrying out the propagation activities of Sharana literature and culture. It recognizes and honors individuals who have rendered significant service in the fields of Sharana literature and culture with the support of donors.

Such esteemed awards, patronized by donors, include the “Ramanashree Sharana Award.” Each year, nine achievers receive these awards, which include a lifetime achievement honorarium of Rs. 40,000 each. The patrons of these prestigious awards are the Ramanashree Pratishthana . They contribute Rs. 20,000 each to a service institution for research in Sharana literature, modern vachana composition, vachana music, and the dissemination of Sharana culture. Additionally, the Ramanashree Sharana Lifetime Achievement Award honors recipients with Rs. 50,000 along with a certificate of recognition.

For more than decades presentation of these awards has been taking place.  Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat and Ramanashree Pratishthana is grateful for sponsoring such essential awards.
